Note from the Directors:
Thank you for designing our Advent calendar animation and supporting the MNC Lewes Town and Country Article.

Question 1: Give us a brief description of your business. How you help people? What makes you unique?

Ocean Breeze Creative creates beautiful designs that will get your business noticed. I started Ocean Breeze Creative in September 2017. Whether you’re a small business, charity or individual, I help to promote your business, event or campaign with beautiful designs. I’m available to create anything from branding and logo design, business cards and flyers, through to illustrations, animation and more. The visuals that a company uses make a huge impact on the way it appears to its potential customer, so it’s important to make sure everything you use is designed well. That’s where I come in. I can design things that will represent your business well and attract new clients from your target audience.

Why choose me instead of another graphic designer?

Because I take the time to get to know you (and your business) and tailor the process and designs to suit you. Know exactly what you want? Great! Not really sure what you want but know you need something? That’s fine too! I’ll fit in with your requirements and help you through the process as much or as little as you want. And I’ll keep redesigning until you’re completely happy.

Question 2: Why do you love your business and what you do?

I love being creative and coming up with great looking designs that will help businesses to succeed. It’s always so rewarding when we come to the end of the design process and my client loves their new designs. I also really enjoy getting to work with different people, creating a variety of products for different industries – the variety makes each day so interesting. The start and the end of each project are always the most fun. The start involves getting to know the client and putting loads of ideas down on paper; there’s no bad ideas at this stage! Then there’s a process of refinement and development, before the hugely satisfying end of the process – choosing the final design(s) and getting them printed.

Question 3: Tell us about a time when you said to yourself ‘this is why I do what I do’.

I think I probably say this every time I finish a project and my client loves the final design! It’s so rewarding to have worked out what your client wants and how they want their business represented, and then produce in real life what they’ve been imagining. One particular moment comes to mind – a launch event for a charity in London. I had designed all of their branding, their logo, flyers, postcards, forms and their website. The client was so grateful and I had many compliments that evening. It makes it all so worth it when my work will help my clients get noticed by potential customers.

Questions 4: How has MNC helped you on your business journey so far?

I’ve been part of MNC for just over a year, and it’s already been so helpful. Firstly, it’s enabled me to meet the kind of people who need my services. I’ve already got a fair amount of work from MNC, which I’m so grateful for. Secondly, MNC has helped me through the support and encouragement of members who are always there with kind words, to lend a hand, give some advice or promote your business to their friends. When you work on your own, having a group of people to meet with is invaluable; MNC is a brilliant example of such a group.

Question 5: If there was one piece of advice you would give to someone thinking of starting their own business what would it be?

I would say to just go for it! Running your own business has its tough times, but it’s also so rewarding. Even if it doesn’t work out in the long run, you’ll learn loads in the process and grow as a person. Make the most of all the amazing resources available to you – ask people, listen to podcasts, read blogs and get hold of helpful books. Keep learning, be patient and don’t give up.

Question 6: Anything else you want our readers to know about you and your business?

I’ve recently released an e-book – full of helpful tips and tricks to help you make your business look amazing. It’ll help you especially if you’re creating some designs for yourself and want to use the techniques that a professional graphic designer would use to make the designs look great. Download it for free on my website. You can also take a look at my website to see examples of the work that I’ve done for other businesses and a much fuller list of the services I offer. If, however, you need something and you’re not sure whether I do it or not – just ask! It’s very likely that I’ll be able to do it, or know someone else who can if not.
