Question 1: Give us a brief description of your business. How you help people? What makes you unique?
Hi – I am a Personal Brand Photographer.
I help you, the Business owner, to create a collection of images to showcase your Brand and your Business and to tell Your story – with the aim of helping you to engage with your Dream client.
Question 2: Why do you love your business and what you do?
I believe Photography is about feelings, making other’s think and feel.
Just a glance at one powerful image can stop people in their tracks. I enjoy capturing individuals, their essence and telling their story via photographs.
Question 3: Tell us about a time when you said to yourself ‘this is why I do what I do’.
I enjoy meeting new people, building the rapport with them and learning about their world. Photography let’s me do this, it full-fills me. The thing I love most, is when I deliver the images and I get the client’s reply “Aaaa, they are amazing, I love them, I don’t know how I am ever going to choose” – makes me feel satisfied. And once the photos appear on the client’s social media and they use them to market themselves – I feel I did my job right.
Questions 4: How has MNC helped you on your business journey so far?
I have met some fabulous people in the monthly meetings, and with some of them I have become friends. It is wonderful to support the local business around me, as most of them are in the same boat as me – mums/parents supporting their families.
Question 5: If there was one piece of advice you would give to someone thinking of starting their own business what would it be?
Network, network, network – from the beginning. Networking is critical. You can have your Website, Logo, Brand colours, Business plan, accounts sorted, but what you really need is “your” Networking group. The group of right people, who will support you when you start and along the way!
Question 6: Anything else you want our readers to know about you and your business?
The Personal Brand Photography is a relatively new aspect of visual branding. A Personal Brand photography session differs from a typical headshot/portrait session in several ways. We will have a chat and discuss what type of images you need – we will discuss locations, outfits, props. The mix of lifestyle and posed images and flatlays/product photography will help you build up a strong presence on the social media and create engagement with your future clients.
